The Mixxx team is proud to announce the release of Mixxx 1.7.2!
This bugfix release addresses a number of issues that were discovered in 1.7.1, and is a recommended upgrade for all users.
Some of the changes include:
- Improved saving of ordered playlists
- Fixed MIDI support on OS X
- Optimize latency settings. This should improve compatibility with certain soundcards/APIs.
- Improved stability and error handling when loading certain songs.
Mixxx 1.7.2 is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Download Mixxx and start DJing!
Hi, why is there no 1.7.2 for ubuntu 64bit? Thanks.
ReplyDeletebut you can force the instalation.
ReplyDeletePlease add 64 bit ubuntu package.
ReplyDeleteI tried to try force 32 bit with sudo dpkg -i
--force-architecture mixxx-1.7.2-ubuntu-i386.deb but after that that mixxx doesn't start. mixxx: error while loading shared libraries: libid3tag.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/libid3tag.so.0 exists in /usr/lib, but it's ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64.
Hi, I have some problems with Qt 4.6 and Mixxx, the waveform display is showing some random things from the GPU memory, switching the theme fixes the problem until next start. http://img5.imagebanana.com/view/jlj2nmfr/Bildschirmfoto11.png
ReplyDeleteThanks a million for your work on the ordered playlists !!!!!!!!!!!!! You're a great team and I love your communication with your users/fan base ;) !!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I tried to use a Serato Vinyl Scratch Live to control one of the decks but the song somehow plays only in reverse. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
ReplyDelete@Feka: try switching the RCA connectors from the turntable into the soundcard inputs (for example, if the red RCA is in your left input switch it to the right and the same with the black RCA connector). This worked for me :)
ReplyDeletehi... will this work with numark dj io?
ReplyDeleteHi Guys,
ReplyDeleteI love this software and want to use it to get away from Windows... Can I request the ability to ustilise iTunes' database? That's still my prefered music management software and Mixxx for DJ work :-)
Hi Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteWe're working on letting you use your iTunes database in Mixxx 1.8.0. We have preliminary support for this in Mixxx 1.8.0 Beta 1, but it's incomplete and doesn't support .m4a files yet.
Stay tuned for an update about this with Beta 2... :)
